NOAA FUNDED a Marine Debris Removal Project on the Rachel Carson Reserve

USING AERIAL SYSTEMS TO INFORM MARINE DEBRIS REMOVAL STRATEGIES AND MONITOR HABITAT RECOVERY IN THE NC NATIONAL ESTUARINE RESEARCH RESERVE – HAS SO FAR RESULTED IN THE REMOVAL OF OVER 10,500 POUNDS OF DEBRIS FROM THE RACHEL CARSON RESERVE.  See volunteers and NCMDS stakeholders Paula GIlikin (Rachel Carson Reserve Site Manager) and Sarah Latshaw (NOAA Marine Debris Program Coordinator) in the photo below.
