Good morning everyone, I wanted you to know that our new Marine Debris Removal Funding Opportunity for Fiscal Year 2015 is officially open.  Proposals need to be submitted by November 17, 2014.  http://www.grants.gov/web/grants/view-opportunity.html?oppId=265368

Be sure to read all of the background information and instructions carefully.  We hate to disqualify great applications because a simple step was skipped. But if required information is omitted, legally, we can't accept the proposal.

So, take your time, be thoughtful about your approach, look at our prior projects on both the MDP webpage and the MDP Clearinghouse, work with your partners, review and edit and review and edit. And review and edit again...

Here's a link to some helpful information on the submission process http://www.habitat.noaa.gov/funding/marinedebris.html.

We look forward to reading about your great ideas to remove marine debris and protecting our coastal habitats and the many animals that live there.

Thank you very much,

Jason
